INWALL
INWALL is VETROIN‘s innovative proposal that redefines the concept of the classic wall as a space divider. It promotes transparent partitioning to maintain communication between rooms, to let light filter through and to create separate but connected spaces. Its structure is based on patented systems that combine aesthetic refinement with the precision of engineering design.
The INWALL structural glass wall is solid and stable and provides excellent acoustic qualities. Its constituent panes are flush on the outer edges, with no visible retaining profiles or adhesives, which have been replaced by a specially patented fixing that allows the glass to be flush on the outside. This fusion of design, Made in Italy taste and earthquake-proof performance guarantees reliability and safety in any installation environment. How? Thanks to interlocking connections for structural tightness and micrometrical adjustment, and thanks to invisible mechanisms that cushion the building’s structural settlements and seismic stresses.

structural glass wall
Patented by VETROIN, INWALL is an earthquake-resistant structural glass wall available in four different versions. It can be customised with single and double sliding or hinged doors, and with handles designed by our company. Full-height INWALL doors are an integrated part of the system. The doors are framed with aluminium profiles, which can be harmonised with the materials and can accommodate a recessed door closer at the top and soundproofing at the bottom.

Earthquake-resistance tests
VETROIN‘s earthquake-resistant structural glass wall combines the excellent results achieved by laminated structural glass with an innovative mechanical structural fixation system and constant compensation, which works in terms of adaptability during installation and very high anti-seismic performance. INWALL fuses safety and design while accounting for the increasingly stringent safety regulations, especially in the design field.
“The capacity of non-structural elements, including any structural elements that support and connect them to each other and to the main structure, must be greater than the seismic demand corresponding to each of the thresholds considered. When the structural element is built on site, it is the task of the designer of the structure to identify the demand and design the capacity in accordance with proven formulations and it is the task of the construction manager to verify its correct execution; when the non-structural element is assembled on site, it is the task of the designer of the structure to identify the demand, it is the task of the supplier and/or installer to provide elements and connection systems of adequate capacity and it is the task of the construction manager to verify its correct assembly.” [Technical Standards for Construction – updated Ministerial Decree 17 January 2018, – Superior Council of Public Works].
With its high seismic resistance requirements, INWALL is the most effective system for those who want a design wall that fully complies with the Technical Standards for Construction.

38 tests
Thirty-eight vibrating table tests at the Department of Structures for Engineering and Architecture laboratory at Federico II University.
12 m/sec2
Resistance attested to stresses up to a PGA of 12 m/sec2, equivalent to a seismic event of dramatic intensity.
0 damage or breakage
When subjected to specific tests, INWALL’s structural glass and technical solutions proved to be robust and free of major damage.
Combination of earthquake-proof performance and Italian design
The performance of the INWALL structural glass wall in the face of seismic phenomena is guaranteed by its innovative internal structure.
Patented
Compensator
During assembly, the spring pusher integrated into the upper profile allows for a finer adjustment of the top profiles. Afterwards, it acts as a shock absorber for structural foundations and seismic stresses, as it is mobile.
Patented
Grader
Allows for micrometric adjustment during installation, compensating for floor level variations with maximum precision.
Patented
Upper connector
Allows fixing without the use of glues. This co-extruded connection with a patented stabilising function is press-fitted into the recess in the INWALL slab, glass or panel: the expansion generated by this graft gives stability to the bond between the connector and the slab.
Patented
Base gasket
Engages in the groove of the slab, ensuring a durable seal without the need for glues. When installed, it acts as a sliding guide and load spreader, allowing a balance under all conditions.
Patented
Vertical connector
Structural gasket made of transparent PVC that fits between the slabs and disappears between the glazing. Running the full height of the elements, it ensures sealing and coplanarity. Allows a mechanical seal without the use of glues.

VETROIN carried out numerous tests to verify the soundproofing qualities of INWALL double-glazed IW2 walls. The results were very good for both curtain walls and walls with doors. In several cases, the results were significantly higher than the standard, with values of up to RW=46 dB, as in the case of the test carried out on double-glazing with a door.
